Pratt Medical Center recommends that you call your health insurance company to learn about your health benefits prior to your visit. For your convenience, you may view the list of health plans that Pratt Medical Center is participating with.
Filing Insurance Claims
Pratt Medical Center files insurance claims for all health plans.
Making Payments
All charges are due and payable within 30 days following the statement closing date. If necessary, an extended payment plan can be arranged by contacting the Pratt Business Office at 540-786-2100.

Participating (Par)
Pratt Medical Center has a signed contract with the Insurance company agreeing to write off the difference between the actual charge and the allowed amount paid by the Insurance company. The patient is still responsible to pay his/her copayments and/or co-insurance.
Non-Participating (Non-Par)
Pratt Medical Center does not have a signed contract with the insurance company. No adjustments are made between the actual charge and the amount paid by the insurance company. Remaining balances are the patient's responsibility.
Note 1
Pratt Medical Center does not participate with CareFirst HMO.However, there are certain CareFirst PPO members that our physicians can see and still be considered in-network (or Par). The PPO cards have a "suitcase" on them with "PPO" inside the suitcase.Also, a PCP is not listed on the card.
Note 2
Some physicians may not be credentialed at this time with the Par insurance companies listed. If in doubt, please consult the Pratt Business Office at 540-786-2100.
